2003-11-05 - 9:54 p.m. I have had bronchitis for a week. I have never had bronchitis before and I do not wish to ever have it again. I have a weird immune system and when I get sick, it can take me a long time to recover. This started 10 days ago with a sore throat and runny nose, but because I am in school and afraid to miss even a day, I went to school every day last week until Friday when I couldn't take it anymore. I went to the doctor Friday morning and camped out until they opened then gently persuaded them to work me in even though the receptionist was adamant that the doctor was completely booked. He gave me a shot of steroids, and scrips for steroids, antibiotics, and a sleeping pill since I hadn't been able to sleep for several nights. The steroids actually made me feel worse and I am glad that I finished up my dose today. But of course I went to school on Monday and then tried to go to the nursing home on Tuesday. I only made it at the nursing home for about 2 and half hours before I had to go home and go to bed. Unfortunately I didn't feel any better today until after I ate dinner but I do feel better now. Still need lots of rest though.
